Trip is severely injured and his only hope for surviving is getting replacement of some of his organs by a clone growing done by Dr Phlox. But ethic questions rise and Archer must take a decision on how far he wants Trip back, when the clone goes from the state of simple spare organs to the one of fully individual human being.

Notes : A. Taylor Gordon already appeared as a young Trip Tucker in The Xindi. Hollywood youngest babies were also used, eight-month-old Trip was played by a pair of twins, and his newborn version was played by eight-week-old triplets. Shawn Crowder is the usual stunt double and plays Trip being injured by engineering explosions. The election of governor of California that gave the victory to Arnold Schwarzenegger took place during the shooting.
