May 17, 2154. The Enterprise crosses the way of Dr. Arik Soong, a scientist obsessed by genetic engineering and creation of supersoldiers called 'Augments'. He revives 20 Eugenic War embryos, but soon finds him overwhelmed when they threat to incite war against the Klingon Empire. Meanwhile, T'Pol and a crewmember called Lucas McGregor and 7 of his crewmates are captured by a Slave trader from the Orion Syndicate, forcing Archer to come and save them in the company of Soong.

Notes : First episode of the 1st miniseries of 3, about the ancestors of Data's creator. Dr. Arik Soong is Noonien Soong's ancestor, the creator of Data (TNG), and is played by Brent Spinner, who was Data for 7 seasons in TNG and 4 Star Trek movies. The title refers to the border between the Klingon Empire and the Orion Syndicate. Other actors are famous, as J.G. Hertzler, best known as Martok in Deep Space Nine. Old stunts known as MACOs from the 3rd season come back as silent Male Orion: Paul Sklar, Dorenda Moore, Shawn Crowder, Kevin Derr, directed by Vince Deadrick Jr himself.
