May 27, 2154. Archer rescues Smike, an Augment who was marooned on Trialas Four by his fellow genetically engineered specimens. However, Phlox soon discovers Smike he's defective, a genetic experiment gone wrong. Unlike the others, he doesn't have superhuman abilities. Second episode of the Soong arc, the ancestor of Data's father doesn't control anymore the creatures he built from eugenic wars supersoldiers.
